The rarest of the rare: An exceptional, meticulously restored set of twelve (12) cane back Klismos dining chairs by Baker Furniture, circa 1958. This design is routinely attributed to the esteemed Michael Taylor. Expertly crafted solid cherry construction with stellar lines and detail. Finished in a mellow walnut stain – aged to absolute perfection. Delicate cane panel inset back. Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and coveted chair designs in the Baker archive. Beyond fabulous. Excellent restored condition. The chairs have been professionally cleaned and re-lacquered. The wood demonstrates stunning warmth, depth and luster. All cane is intact and complete. Expert custom upholstery in a stunning neutral textured Larsen fabric. Sturdy, comfortable and intended for heavy regular use. The set is completely installation ready. There are two (2) host and ten (10) side chairs. The host chairs measure: 21.5 inches wide, 32.5 inches high (back), 17 inches deep, 20.5 inch seat height, 26.5 inch (arm). Measurements noted are per the side chairs. Retains the maker mark. The price listed is for the set of twelve (12). Custom upholstery service is available.
