Pair of swivel tilt egg chairs and ottomans designed by Arne Jacobsen and manufactured by Fritz Hansen, Denmark. Jacobsen’s modern take on the wingback lounge chair. The tilt mechanism is adjustable. The set is from the early 2000s and have been expertly reupholstered, hand stitched, identical to the Fritz Hansen method. We used Moore and Giles Brentwood Cuervo leather. The inherent characteristics of this expensive leather is that it will show distress. The color fluctuations are natural to the hide. The pair show some signs of handling, light scratches, etc., but that is part of the process with this leather. The chairs are stunning. Ottoman dimensions. Measures: 16.5 in H x 22 in W x 16 in D.

Jacobsen was a true visionary as an architect and designer, and his Egg chair is the epitome of Danish mid-century design. Jacobsen originally designed the Egg chair in 1958 for the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark. Set on a steel rotating base, the Egg Chair allows sitters to swivel toward a conversation or away from others for more privacy. Expertly restored and reupholstered in our luxurious signature leather and Brazilian sheepskin, this chair is destined for an amazing space.
